The site formally housing four semi-detached properties fronting the Great North Way is being redeveloped to provide 55 apartments of up to 3 beds.

A new basement car park is being constructed over the entire foot print of the site with the ground floor transfer slab being poured during July and August 2015.

The RC framed superstructure over varies in height between two and four storeys which step to follow the slope of the road, the construction of which is scheduled to be completed by October 2015.

With Phase 3 nearing practical completion and Phase 4 under construction, Phase 5 is at scheme development stage for the final three buildings of this £50m project. Initially commencing in 2006, the former Royal Military Academy site has been refurbished and supplemented with additional new buildings to create over 260 residential apartments.

The Chapel, The Great Hall and The Central Parade buildings are the last to be renovated. The initial works are being progressed in close consultation with Historic England and London Borough of Greenwich in order to provide a scheme that is sensitive to the buildings’ historic importance.

With recent practical completion The Sugar Building provides over 40,000sq. ft. of Grade A refurbished office space across seven floors.

The existing reinforced concrete structure to the perimeter of this octagonal building was completely removed and replaced on a grid to suit the new façade. The central core was opened up to provide new stairs, lifts, and office amenities along with a roof terrace to give views across St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Demolition of the buildings to the previous Elizabeth Shaw Chocolate Factory are progressing well with sorting of the materials on site for recycling.

The Generator Group are finalising a detailed planning application for the redevelopment of the site which is due to be submitted in the autumn.

T&K are assisting in developing safe demolition methods, stability of shell buildings and reutilising some of the structure in the redevelopment scheme.

The refurbishmment project at 145 Oxford Street has reached practical completion with the revitalised property now boasting 3 floors of retail space and 3 floors of open-plan office space designed by Rolfe Judd architects. With a prime location at the corner of Berwick Street we might be shopping there in the near future!
